Over these four days, we shuttled from Naples to Teano, where Garibaldi passed the symbolic key to southern Italy to Vittorio Emmanuelle II, King of Savoy, who became the first king under a unified Italy. From Teano we rode on to Mondragone where we spent the night, then on to Anagni and Rome, where we enjoyed another rest day. In the photo above, we are enjoying lunch offered us by the Mayor of Teano, whose delegation met us there and escorted us out to the site where the historical meeting between Garibaldi and Emmanuelle II occurred.
